The Rains finally came!

Well they finally came!!!!  Right on just about completion of the new horse fence...typical! But no complaints here, they came.   Wayne checked the water tanks and they are half full so we had in 24hours a real good downpour.

Though, too much rain would split the fruit, talk about a catch 22.  As you would expect teenage girls could not give a hoot about splitting fruit, all they can think of is showers longer than a minute.....I am sure I was not that self-centred as a teenager....was I?
Being the end of semester, we are all knuckling down for exams and final assignments, so not much is happening at Mammy's, sorry; plus I have not been feeling the best of late, some silly infection.

It certainly is starting to get cold during the days now and  the wood fire goes 24/7, it just takes too long to get the house warmed up again if you let her go out.

Winter is nearly upon us and there still seems to be so much to be done before it hits, as usual I always ask "where does the time go"?  On that note, there are a few things pressing to be done before the family arrives home.  Hope all you Mums had a great Mothers day, until next time....All the very best of Country Blessings to you xxx

I love that first photo! Glad you got the rain and the tanks are full, Teenagers really don't cope very well with short showers although in my experience boys are worse than girls.

Thanks Jackie. I agree with teenage boys!!! We find ourselves banging on the door when our teenage nephew comes to stay. Alas, city folk do not appreciate the value of water as much. Hope all is well your end and your keeping warm!! The weather man over here tells us to expect a very cold and dry winter....oh boy!!! Till next time xxxx
